We are situated in the Cheekoti Veeranna Compound, which is at 2-3-465/1 on Minister Road. It is quite easy to find us because we are right near the Sai Baba Temple. The compound has a few other businesses in it, but we are the ones with the stacks of metal out front. We make rolling shutters for shops and warehouses, and we also do various engineering jobs when people ask. The space is quite old and the walls could probably use a coat of paint, but we spend all our time working on the metal anyway. On Thursdays, the area gets very crowded with people going to the temple, so we usually try to avoid moving the big shutters on those days. It is hot work, especially in the summer when the metal gets warm to the touch. We use basic welding sets and grinders to get the job done. Most of our workers live nearby and have been with us for many years. We don't use any high-tech machinery; it is all done by hand and with simple tools. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait, which gives us a chance to have some tea and chat. We are just a regular part of the local community here on Minister Road. People know they can come to us if their shop shutter gets stuck or if they need a simple gate.
