We’ve been sitting here on the third floor of the White House building in Begumpet for a good while now. If you know the area, it’s Block-3, house number 6-3-1192/1/1. It gets pretty busy around Hyderabad, especially with all the traffic outside, but up here it’s mostly just us handling the paperwork for the cement. People know us as A-9, which is basically the combined effort of Andhra Cements and India Cements. We don’t really do fancy things here. Most of the day is just spent on the phone or looking at delivery schedules. Cement isn’t the most exciting thing to talk about, but it’s what keeps everything standing. The office isn't too large, but it works for what we need to do. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is in Begumpet. We deal with lots of different people, from contractors to small builders who just need a few loads. It’s a lot of coordination between the plants and the sites. We try to keep things moving as fast as possible because nobody likes waiting for a truck when the laborers are already there. It’s dusty work sometimes, even in an office. We just stay focused on getting the bags where they need to go without too much fuss or trouble.
