Our shop, Musaddilal & Sons, is located in the Basheerbagh area of Hyderabad. It’s a place many people know well because it’s been part of the landscape for a long time. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local jewelry store. The street outside is usually busy with traffic and people going about their day. Inside, we just focus on the jewelry. We have things for everyday wear and also the heavier stuff people want for special events. Most of our days are spent cleaning pieces or showing customers different designs. It’s not a fast-paced environment. We like to take our time with anyone who walks through the door. Being in Basheerbagh means we get all sorts of people visiting. Some are just passing through and others have lived nearby for decades. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything. It’s just us running the place. We keep the counters clean and the lights on. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty because of the road work nearby, but we keep on top of it. It feels good to be a steady part of the community. We know the other shop owners around here too. It’s just a normal life, working with gold and stones and meeting the families who live in this part of Hyderabad. We hope to stay here for a good while longer.
