G K Waheed Jewellers & Pearls

Our little shop is located right at 22-5-74, very close to the Charminar in Hyderabad. It is a busy place to be, with all the people walking by and the noise of the old city throughout the day. We have been here for a good number of years now. We mostly handle pearls because that is what this area is known for. It is not a very big space, but we have enough room for our stock and for people to sit down. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break. We do not have any fancy brochures or a big marketing team. It is just us and the pearls. People usually find us because they were told about the shop by a neighbor or a relative. We keep things simple here. We show the pearls, we talk about the price, and that is about it. The street outside can get very crowded, especially in the evenings when the lights come on around the monument. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever comes in. It is a family business and we have seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over time. The address 22-5-74 is easy to find if you know the landmark. We just try to do our work honestly every day and see what happens next. There is no big secret to how we run things. We just stay here and work.
