Our workshop for Potru Polymers is out at Industrial Estate No. 8-54 in Bachupally Village. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of activity around us. You can hear machines clanking and trucks reversing all day long. We have a fairly large shed where we keep the machinery and the raw materials. It gets quite warm inside when everything is running, and the smell of plastic is something you just get used to after a while. We don't have a separate office building, just a small corner with a desk and some old chairs where we handle the paperwork. The floor is mostly grey concrete, and we have to be careful where we step because of the scraps and the cords. We work in shifts usually, making sure someone is always there to keep an eye on the production. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting bags and checking the settings on the equipment. We don't spend money on fancy signage or landscaping. The focus is just on the output. Bachupally has changed a lot over the years, but our little spot in the estate stays pretty much the same. We have a small area outside where we sit for lunch and try to get some fresh air. It’s just a regular industrial job, keeping the machines fed and the products moving out of the gate for whoever needs them.
