Baba Pearls & Rodium

You have to head down to the Syj Complex in Pathergatti to find us. We’re at Shop No. 17, tucked right below where the J & K Banks are located. It can get pretty busy around here with all the foot traffic, especially on the weekends. We go by Baba Pearls & Rodium. It’s a small space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. The lighting inside the complex can be a bit dim sometimes, so we have our own lamps to see the small details on the pearls. We spend a lot of time working with rhodium plating too. It’s messy work but it’s what we do. My cousin helps out when things get crowded. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Usually, people find us because someone else told them where the shop is. The stairs down to the complex can be a bit steep, so watch your step. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. It gets a bit noisy with the bank upstairs and the street noise, but you get used to it. We keep our hours pretty regular. Most days it’s just us sitting behind the counter, organizing the stock or cleaning up some old pieces. There isn’t much room for a crowd, but we make it work. It’s just a regular shop doing regular work in a busy part of town. We try to keep the place tidy but with all the small tools and bags, it’s a bit of a challenge most days.
