L B Nagar is where we set up our school for media arts. It’s a busy part of Hyderabad, which is good for energy, but the commute can be a real grind for everyone involved. We have our rooms filled with computers and screens because that’s what the students need for their daily work. It’s usually a bit dark inside so people can see their monitors better without the glare. You’ll find people hunched over desks most of the day, working on their creative projects. We don't have a big sign outside that glows, just a regular entrance. The air conditioning is basically our best friend during the summer months because all these machines give off a lot of heat. We spend a lot of time troubleshooting software or helping someone figure out a camera setting that isn't working right. It’s not like a big corporate office where everything is polished and shiny; we have cables running along the floor and stacks of hard drives sitting around on tables. Sometimes we stay late when a project is due, and the whole place feels different when the streets outside finally quiet down late at night. L B Nagar has everything you need though, plenty of places to grab a quick snack or a chai when you need a break from looking at the screen. It’s just a group of people interested in media stuff trying to learn the ropes in a normal, everyday environment. We just do our work.
