I’m working as an assistant engineer over here in Hyderabad. The office is located at 2-2-1167/3/47/A in Indiranagar, which is right by Tilak Nagar. If you’ve ever been to this part of Hyderabad, you know it’s a maze of streets and houses all packed together. It’s a lively place, though, with plenty of noise from the scooters and the local vendors. My desk is usually covered in site reports and some old blueprints that have coffee stains on the edges. It’s a bit of a climb to get to the office, and the stairs are narrow. We don't have a big sign outside or anything flashy. Most people just find us by asking the neighbors. The work involves a lot of checking on local construction and making sure the plans match what’s actually happening on the ground. Sometimes I’m out on the road most of the day, and other times I’m stuck in the office under a slow fan. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what needs to happen to keep the local projects moving. We don't use any fancy software most of the time, just the basics and a lot of manual checking. The guys here are easygoing, and we usually share a tiffin during lunch. It’s just a regular engineering spot in a busy neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in.
