Ase

Ase is based in Vijayawada, right in the 520007 zip code area. It’s quite a warm part of Andhra Pradesh, so we almost always have the ceiling fans spinning at full speed. Our office isn't very big, but it’s enough for what we need to do. We have a few plastic chairs for visitors and a larger wooden desk where most of the work happens. The walls are a bit stained from the rain last year, but we haven't gotten around to painting them yet. It’s just one of those things on the list. We have a small computer that we use for all our data and a printer that sometimes jams if you put too much paper in at once. Outside, the street is paved but has a few potholes that fill up with water when it rains. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long, mostly the horns of the buses and the local vendors selling fruit. We usually bring our own lunches from home and eat together at the main desk around one o'clock. There is a small sink in the back for washing up. It is a very straightforward way of working. We don't have any big meetings or corporate stuff, just people coming in and out and us trying to keep everything organized. It’s a local operation, and we like the routine of being here every day. We usually sweep the floor before leaving for the night.
