Aruls Bright Nursery & Primary School

Our school is over at Door No 1-7-179/1 in Kamala Nagar, which is right in the Ecil area of Hyderabad. It’s a primary school, so things are usually pretty loud until about 3:00 in the afternoon. We have the nursery kids and the slightly older primary ones all sharing the same building. It’s not a massive campus with a football field or anything, just a solid building where we’ve set up the classrooms. The walls have some hand-painted drawings of fruit and numbers, mostly done by the staff a couple of years ago. The desks are the small, sturdy kind that can survive kids jumping on them. Every morning starts with the assembly in the small front yard, and you can hear the kids reciting their prayers from down the street. The teachers here are quite practical; they spend a lot of time helping kids with their handwriting and making sure they don’t lose their lunchboxes or water bottles. We have a lot of families from the Ecil area who have been sending their kids to us for years. It’s a community thing, really. The bell rings for break time and you see everyone rushing out for their snacks. It’s not polished or fancy, it’s just a local school where we try to keep the kids focused on their lessons. By the time the final bell rings and the parents arrive, the place is a bit of a whirlwind of bags and shouting, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
