Running things from Flat No. 103 in Pavan Palace isn't like having a big office in a glass tower. Nizampet Village has changed a lot over the years, becoming part of the busy Kukatpally area, but it still has its own local feel if you know where to look. My workspace is just a part of the flat that I have set up with a sturdy desk, a computer, and some stacks of files. It is a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when there are a lot of documents to go through at once. Pavan Palace is a regular apartment building where you hear the neighbors' kids playing in the hallway and people talking in the courtyard downstairs. I have been living and working around here for quite a while now, so I know all the shortcuts through the Nizampet traffic to get things done. People usually come by the flat if they need to discuss something in person, and we just sit in the living area and go over the details. It is a simple setup without any staff or assistants to help out. I handle everything myself, from the paperwork to the daily phone calls. The light in the flat is quite good in the mornings, which helps when I am trying to focus on the numbers. It is not a corporate environment at all, just a man working from his home base to get things done every day. Most of the people in the building know me as the guy in 103 who is always busy with his papers.
