Gangadhar Dundappa Magennavar

Our spot is at No. 42 inside the Al-Karim Trade Center. If you know M.G. Road in Ranigunj, you know how crowded it gets. There are people everywhere and bikes parked all along the street. Gangadhar Dundappa Magennavar is what the sign says above the door, though most folks just walk in and start talking. The trade center has a lot of different businesses, so there's always noise in the hallways. We've been in this unit for a long time. It’s not a very big space, but we have enough room for the essentials. Every morning, we open up the shutters and get things ready for the day. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. It keeps us moving, I guess. We deal with all sorts of people who come through Ranigunj for their supplies. The light in the office isn't the brightest, but we've gotten used to it. We keep our records in old ledgers and some on the computer now, though the paper way feels more real. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front of the center. We usually have a small fan going to keep the air moving while we handle the orders. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation for us here on the busy road. It is simple but it works.
