About Annapurna Ricemill – Food & Beverages in Hyderabad
Our mill is tucked away on V T Road, specifically at 6-25-43 in the Uppal area. It’s a busy spot, especially when the harvest season kicks in and the trucks start lining up outside. To be fair, the place looks like your typical mill—lots of grey concrete, high ceilings, and the constant hum of the machinery in the background. My family has been involved in this kind of work for a while, and we just ended up setting shop here because the location seemed right for the local farmers and traders. It’s not a quiet job, that’s for sure. Every morning starts with checking the equipment and making sure the sieves are clean. We spend a lot of time just watching the grain flow through the chutes to make sure everything is coming out right. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when it’s too humid and the rice doesn't dry as fast as we’d like. We don't really have a marketing team or anything like that. Usually, people just know us by word of mouth or they see the sign when they're driving down V T Road. It's mostly just us and a few workers getting the bags filled and stitched up. It's honest work, even if it leaves you pretty tired by the end of the day. We just focus on getting the milling done so the rice can get out to the shops and families.
