Ann Stone

Ann Stone is found over at No 227 on Road No 14 in Banjara Hills. It’s a pretty well-known area, but our day-to-day isn't exactly glamorous. We spend most of our time dealing with heavy slabs and checking the inventory. The office and the yard can get a bit dusty, which is just part of working with stone. We’ve got people coming in and out all day, asking about different types of materials. It’s mostly just us trying to keep everything organized so we know what we have in stock. The road outside is usually packed with cars, so it’s always a bit noisy around here. We don’t have any polished speeches or anything; we just show people the stones we have. Sometimes we’re just sitting around waiting for a delivery truck to show up so we can get it unloaded. The heat can get pretty bad in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping track of measurements. We have a small space where we keep the records, and it’s usually piled high with folders. We just do the work as it comes and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s a regular business life, really, with a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the day.
