Anganwadi School Premisis

Our place is over in Gajularamaram, specifically at 2-22-84 on Street No 3 in Mahadeva Puram. It is a busy part of Hyderabad and we have been at this location for some time now. The school premises aren't huge, but they serve the purpose for the children who live in the surrounding lanes. Every morning, the staff arrives to set things up. We spend most of our time dealing with the usual school stuff like books, chalk, and making sure the water coolers are full. The street outside can get a bit crowded with two-wheelers during drop-off times. We try to keep the classrooms tidy, though with many kids running around, it’s a constant job. There’s a rhythm to the day here. We start with the morning assembly and then move into the lessons. It is a local operation, so everyone knows each other. If a kid is late, we usually know why because we know the parents. It’s not a corporate environment at all. It’s just a bunch of us working to keep the school running for the community in Gajularamaram. We have basic furniture and the walls are painted with things to help the students learn. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just keep the windows open and carry on with the work. It’s a practical way to run a school and we like being part of the Mahadeva Puram neighborhood. It feels like home to us.
