Our place is located at House No 6-5 on Ecil Road in the Kapra area. It’s actually run right out of the house, so it has a very different feel than a big commercial coaching center. We started this because there were so many kids in this part of Hyderabad who needed a bit of extra help with their schoolwork and didn't have anywhere nearby to go. The front room is where most of the teaching happens. We have some tables set up and enough chairs for the small groups that come by in the evenings. It’s a fairly quiet neighborhood, though the traffic on Ecil Road can pick up during the rush hour. You might hear the occasional dog barking or a neighbor's scooter, but otherwise, it's a good spot for focusing on books. We don't use any complicated teaching methods or fancy technology. It’s usually just us, the students, their textbooks, and a lot of scrap paper for practice problems. I’ve found that just sitting down and talking through a difficult chapter is often better than any expensive software. Sometimes we have tea and biscuits during the breaks, and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We aren't trying to be the biggest tuition center in the city; we just want to help the kids on our street and the surrounding blocks get their grades up. It’s been a steady part of our lives for a few years now and we hope to stay here.
