Anand Cements

Anand Cements is tucked away on the second floor of the Happy Trade Centre in Secunderabad. It’s not a ground-floor shop with a big glass window, so you have to head up to room F 212 to find us. It’s mostly an office space where we handle the big orders and talk to different builders. There is usually a bit of gray dust around on the windowsills because, well, it is a cement business after all. We have different samples sitting on the shelves and desks that are always covered in invoices and delivery schedules. It can get pretty busy with the phone ringing and people coming in to talk about their new construction projects. Secunderabad is always growing with new buildings, so there is a lot to keep track of every week. We don't have fancy leather furniture or a shiny coffee machine for guests. It’s just a practical place where work happens. Some days we are out visiting building sites and other days we are just here making sure the numbers in our books add up. It is a lot of logistical stuff, like coordinating trucks and making sure the bags get delivered to the right place on time. We’ve been at the Happy Trade Centre for a while now and the neighbors in the other offices nearby know us pretty well. It’s a simple, no-nonsense kind of place where we just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized among the piles of paper.
