The pin code here is 500062. Our daily life is very much tied to the smells of the spices we work with. Some days, the whole place smells like the sharp, spicy scent of mirchi powder, which can make your eyes water if you aren't used to it. On other days, it is the earthy smell of haldi powder or the scent of dhania powder. We also spend a lot of time with tea powder. It’s a busy house, and we use almost every inch of space for processing and packing. We don’t have big industrial machines, just some smaller ones that we’ve used for a long time. They make a steady rhythmic sound that fills the rooms. The lanes in Sai Baba Nagar are a bit narrow, so getting the supplies in and out can be a challenge, especially when the weather is bad. We usually have yellow stains on our hands from the turmeric by the end of the shift. We aren't a big corporation with fancy branding. We are just a local setup making powders the way they should be made. We take a break every afternoon for some tea ourselves, using the same powder we pack. It’s a messy, honest, and very busy way to spend the day.
