Amaniganj Char Primary School

Down on Asif Nagar Road, you will find the Amaniganj Char Primary School. It’s a place for the younger children in the neighborhood. Being on the main road means there is always a lot of activity outside our doors. Buses go by, and there is always someone shouting or honking a horn, but inside, we try to keep things focused on the little ones. The school isn't very big. We have a few rooms where the kids sit on their benches and learn their ABCs and numbers. We have some colorful charts on the walls that the teachers made themselves to brighten things up a bit. The floor is made of plain stone, and it stays relatively cool even when the Hyderabad sun is beating down outside. We have a small area where the kids can wash their hands and have their snacks during the break. It’s a very local atmosphere here. Many of the parents work nearby in the shops or markets of Asif Nagar, so they often drop by to check on their children. We don’t have any fancy computer labs or big playgrounds. It’s just a simple primary school doing its job every day. The bell we use is an old manual one, and you can hear it quite clearly down the street when it’s time to go home. It’s a humble place, but it serves the families living around here well enough. That's about all there is to it for us.
