We are located in Ameerpet, specifically in A 14 Madhura Nagar. Hyderabad is a big city, but this little pocket feels like its own world. Albrightoverseas is the name we use, and it’s been that way since we started. The office is in a residential-style building, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed than a high-rise. We have a few rooms dedicated to different tasks, though most of us end up congregating in the main area near the window. Ameerpet is always busy with students and commuters, so there is always something happening outside. We don’t have a lobby with a shiny logo. It’s just a regular office where we keep our files and computers. We spend most of the day coordinating things and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. The heat in Hyderabad can be pretty intense, so we’re grateful for the old air conditioner that hums in the corner. It’s not the quietest machine, but it does the job. We don’t do a lot of fancy presentations or anything like that. Most of our interactions are just straightforward conversations. We know our way around the local lanes and where to get the best snacks in the afternoon. It’s a very ordinary office life, really. We show up in the morning, do what needs doing, and then lock up and head home. It’s practical, it’s a bit messy at times, but it is our space.
