Al Madina Rice Store

At 6-14 Chanchalguda Chavni, you will find Al Madina Rice Store. It is a place filled with the smell of raw grain and the sound of heavy bags hitting the floor. We deal in rice, mostly in bulk, but we help anyone who comes in through the door. The Chanchalguda area is always moving, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We have different varieties of rice stacked up in big burlap sacks throughout the room. It can get pretty hot inside during the summer months, but we just keep the fans running and keep moving the stock around. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website to show off. Most people find us because they live nearby or they’ve heard we have what they need at 6-14. It is a lot of physical work, lifting and carrying, so we stay pretty tired by the end of the shift. The shop floor is concrete and often has a few grains scattered around from a broken bag or a quick weigh-in. We don't worry too much about the aesthetics of the place as long as the rice is good and the scales are accurate for the customers. It’s a straightforward business. We buy the rice, we store it, and we sell it to the people in the community who need to feed their families. That is the long and short of it.
