Akshara Pre School

Akshara Pre School sits on Plot No 114 and 115 over in Bowenpally. It’s a smaller setup because we mainly deal with the little ones who aren't quite ready for the big schools yet. You’ll see a lot of tiny shoes lined up by the door every morning. The place is full of bright colors, mostly because of the plastic toys and the mats we have on the floor. It can be quite a handful when twenty toddlers are all trying to talk at once. We spend a lot of time wiping sticky fingers and helping them find their bags. There is a small outdoor area where they get to run around for a bit before the sun gets too hot. Usually, it’s just the sound of nursery rhymes playing or someone crying because they dropped their snack. We have some shelves filled with picture books that have seen better days, with torn corners and bent pages. The parents usually live just a few streets away, so drop-off and pick-up are pretty quick. It’s a simple routine we have here. We make sure they get their naps and learn a few letters along the way. Bowenpally is a nice enough area, and being on this particular plot means we are away from the heaviest traffic. It’s not a very big place, but it works for what we need to do. Every afternoon, we sweep up the crumbs and get ready to do it again the next morning.
