We are based over in Bachupally, right on the edge of the growing parts of Hyderabad. If you know the area, you know how much construction is happening around here lately. Our office is where Kvd Prasad handles the main coordination for the Acc Concrete loads. It’s a busy spot because there are so many new apartments and commercial buildings going up in this part of Andhra Pradesh. We’ve got the name on the gate, but inside it is just a regular group of people making sure the concrete mixers get to where they are supposed to go on time. The traffic in Hyderabad can be a real headache, so planning the routes is one of the biggest jobs we have every morning. The yard is usually covered in a thin layer of grey dust, which is pretty standard for what we do. We don’t spend much time on fancy presentations; we are usually too busy looking at delivery schedules or talking to the drivers. The phone rings a lot with people asking about their orders. It’s a loud place sometimes with the engines running, but we are used to it. We just try to keep a steady rhythm throughout the week. Sometimes things go wrong with a truck or the weather, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It is a simple operation focused on the daily grind of the construction business. We just do our bit to keep the local projects moving along.
