Our base is at E.W.S. 395 in the K.P.H.B. Colony over in Hyderabad. It’s a busy area and we’ve settled in here to handle our concrete work. Most of what we do involves coordinating deliveries and making sure the mix is right for whatever project is going on in the colony or nearby. The 500 072 area has seen a lot of growth lately, so there’s always something to do. We don’t have a big corporate feel. In fact, our setup is quite basic. We have a couple of desks, a telephone that rings more than we’d like, and plenty of boots covered in dried cement. It’s just how it goes in this industry. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a fancy storefront. We just want to get the job done so we can move on to the next one. The traffic in Hyderabad can be a real headache, especially when we’re trying to move the mixers through the colony roads, but we’ve got a system that mostly works. We know the local guys who work on the sites around here. It’s a lot of shouting over the noise of the machines and checking the watch to stay on time. We’re just regular people trying to run a decent business without too much fuss. If the gates are open, someone is usually there to talk.
