A.C. Francis & Sons

Our family business, A.C. Francis & Sons, is situated at No. 34 in the New Timber Yard Layout, 2nd Stage. We are in the Muneeswara Block of Avalahalli, just off Mysore Road. This area is known for timber and wood, so we fit right in. The business has been around for a long time, passed down through the family. We have a large yard where we keep our materials. It’s often dusty, and the smell of wood is everywhere. We don't have a modern office building. It's more of a shed and a small room for the books. We spend most of our time outside or in the workshop area. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving things around and making sure the quality is what it should be. The neighbors are mostly other yards and workshops, so we all know each other. We don't use fancy titles here. Everyone just rolls up their sleeves and gets to work. Mysore Road always has a lot of traffic, which makes the mornings quite loud. We usually start very early before the heat gets too bad. We aren't interested in being a huge corporation. We just want to keep the family name going and do right by the people who buy from us. It’s a simple life, focused on the work we do with our hands every day.
