You can find us on the 3rd floor of Lenaine Estate, Block-B, which is right opposite Chermas in Abids. Abids is always a bit of a mess with traffic and people, so getting to the office can be a bit of a struggle in the afternoons. Once you get up to the third floor, though, it’s a bit quieter. Gizmo Systems is basically a bunch of rooms filled with hardware, boxes, and a lot of tangled cables. We’ve been in this building for several years now. The lift is a bit temperamental, so many of us just take the stairs to stay awake. It’s a typical city office—low ceilings, humming air conditioners, and stacks of paper that never seem to go away. We spend a lot of time at our desks or tinkering with things on the workbenches. It isn't a showroom; it's a place where we actually work. There’s always someone coming in with a delivery or asking for directions. We’ve got a small pantry area where the coffee is usually burnt, but we drink it anyway. The lighting in the office is a bit flickery in the back hallway, but we never seem to get around to calling the electrician for just one bulb. We have an old sofa in the waiting area that has seen better days, but it’s comfortable enough for a quick sit-down. The view from the window is just more buildings and the tops of buses on the main road.
