3M Engineering Private Limited

Our company, 3M Engineering Private Limited, is run out of an apartment in Domalguda. We are in Flat 205 of the Aravind Vihar building in Aravind Nagar. It’s a residential area which makes for a different kind of work environment than a big office block. We’ve set up our workstations in the main rooms and it feels quite homey despite all the engineering talk going on. We have computers and printers set up where a dining table might normally be. Domalguda is a central part of Hyderabad so it’s easy for us to get around when we need to meet people or visit sites. The apartment building is usually quiet during the day while everyone else is at work. We keep a lot of our technical books and project files on the shelves along the walls. Sometimes we have meetings in the living area where we just sit on the sofas and look over plans. It’s a small team and we all know each other well so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don't wear suits or follow strict corporate rules here. We just focus on the engineering problems we need to solve and make sure the drawings are accurate. It’s a practical way to work and it keeps our costs down too. We usually have tea together in the kitchen area during our breaks and talk about things other than work just to clear our minds. It’s a steady way to spend the day.
