Operating out of Hyderabad, we are right in the middle of a city that never really stops growing. Whether you are looking at the older parts of town or the new high-rise buildings going up toward the western side, we are involved in the basic materials that hold everything together. For us at Ultratech Cement Limited, the work is very straightforward. We deal with cement bags and bulk orders every single day of the week. Hyderabad has its own fast rhythm, and we do our best to keep up with the demand. The traffic in the city can be a massive headache when we are trying to move materials from one place to another, but that is just something you have to deal with when you live here. We do not have a long list of fancy slogans or a mission statement on the wall. We just focus on the specific orders that come in through the door. Our team is not very large, and we spend most of our time on the phone or out at the sites checking on how things are progressing. It is often dusty and usually very hot work, but it is what we do. People in Hyderabad are very practical; they just want their materials on time. We try not to overcomplicate things and just keep the inventory moving.
