If you are looking for us, we are right in Alampurpet, near the post office. It is a busy little spot and having the post office nearby makes it easy for people to find where we are. We mostly trade in different types of granite slabs. Our day usually involves a lot of phone calls to see when the next load is arriving and then figuring out where to put everything. The space gets tight sometimes. It’s not like those big showrooms you see in the city. Here, it is just us, the stone, and whoever happens to walk in that day. We spend a lot of time moving things around with the crane. You have to be careful because one wrong move and a whole piece is ruined. We’ve had that happen a couple of times over the years. It is frustrating. The weather affects things too, since everything is stored out in the open. When it rains, the stone looks different, so we tell people to come back when it’s dry to see the real color. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few local guys who know the trade. Most of our regulars are builders from around the area who just want something solid for their projects. It's simple work, really. We just buy the stone, keep it here, and sell it to whoever needs it for their house or shop.
