Gayatri Granites

Our yard for Gayatri Granites is out at number 698 in Ilkal. If you know this part of Bagalkot, you know it’s a place where stone is a big part of life. We spend our days surrounded by heavy slabs and the sound of machines. It’s not a quiet job, and your clothes usually end up covered in fine stone dust by noon. We don’t have a big, polished showroom with air conditioning. It’s just a workspace where we keep the granite and do the cutting. Sometimes the sun in Bagalkot gets really intense, but the work doesn't stop. We’ve got a lot of different pieces stacked up, and we spend a good amount of time sorting through them for customers. Ilkal is a small enough place that you get to know the regular drivers and the other folks in the trade. We just focus on the stone and making sure it's handled properly without any fuss. It’s a basic operation. We don’t go in for fancy advertisements or anything like that. People usually find us because they know we are here at this address. The stone is heavy, the work is physical, and we just take it one day at a time. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if it’s a bit rough around the edges. We’ve been at 698 for a long time and plan to stay.
