Dhongadi Marbles & Granites

Our place is right on Bharat Mil Road, not too far from the Housing Board Office. If you've lived in this part of town for a while, you've probably passed us plenty of times. We handle a lot of marble and granite here. It’s heavy work, and our hands are usually covered in dust by noon. We don't have a big fancy showroom with air conditioning. It’s mostly just us and the stone. We spend our days checking the slabs for cracks and making sure the edges are okay. People drop by looking for something for their kitchens or maybe a bathroom floor. We show them what’s in stock and talk about what might work for their house. It gets pretty loud when the cutters are running, so we usually talk a bit louder to be heard. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now. The traffic on Bharat Mil Road can be a pain sometimes when we’re trying to back a truck in, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just a steady one. Most of our neighbors know us. We just want to do a decent job so people come back when they need more stone for their next project. It’s straightforward work. No big secrets to it, just moving rocks and cutting them to size. Some days are better than others, but that's just life in a small business like ours.
