Shakti Oils And Fats is located over at 62/5, Atindra Mukherjee Lane in Shibpur. This part of town is pretty cramped, and our lane is no different. You’ll find us right in the middle of it. We deal with oils and fats every single day. It’s messy work sometimes. The floors can get a bit slick if we aren't careful, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up. Shibpur has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of that old fabric. The building we are in has seen better days, but it holds the equipment just fine. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy things. We just have the workers who show up and handle the drums and the processing. It’s a lot of physical labor. You can hear the noise of the lane outside, people shouting and horns honking, while we work inside. We've stayed at this address because it’s where we started. Sometimes the supply comes in late or the weather makes things difficult, but the work never really stops. We focus on the fats and the oils and getting the orders ready for whoever needs them. It’s a straightforward business. No one here wears a suit. We are usually covered in whatever we are working on by noon. That’s just the way it goes at Shakti Oils. It is a long day, but we are used to the rhythm of the lane.
