Our place is down at 58/F on Findlay Road in Liluah. It is not like the big fancy ones you see in the mall sometimes. This spot in Howrah is where we spend all our time. The kitchen stays hot and the fryers are always going. Most of us who work here live pretty close by so we walk or take the rickshaw. In the mornings, it is quiet for a bit while we set up the machines and check the stock. Then the lunch rush hits and everything gets a bit chaotic. We see the same people coming in after work or school. There is a specific table near the window that everyone likes because you can see the street clearly. Sometimes the delivery bikes are lined up outside blocking the way but we move them as fast as we can. We spend a lot of time cleaning up tables and making sure the floor isn't sticky. It is hard work being on your feet all day. We talk about our families during the breaks in the back room. The air conditioning sometimes struggles when it gets really hot outside in Howrah. We don't have fancy office meetings, just quick chats about who is doing what shift. It is just a local spot for people to grab something quick. We try to keep things organized even when it gets really busy and the lines get long near the front counter.
