Mario Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. is based out of 12, Thakur Bati Street. We are in Serampur, over in the Hooghly district. It’s a pretty old part of town, and our building has that lived-in feel to it. We do engineering work, mostly heavy stuff that requires a lot of space and heavy tools. The floors are concrete and usually have a bit of oil or metal shavings on them by the end of the day. We aren't really the type for suits and ties. Most of us are in work clothes that have seen better days. We’ve been part of the Serampur community for a good while now. The locals know us as the place that makes a lot of noise during the day. We try to keep the workflow steady so we aren't rushing at the last minute. It’s a lot of manual labor and technical thinking combined. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably just walk straight into where the machines are. We like the honesty of working with our hands. It’s about getting the measurements right and making sure the metal behaves like it’s supposed to. It is tiring work, but at the end of the day, you can see what you’ve built. That counts for something. We just take our time to do it right so we don't have to redo anything later. That is our basic approach.
