About Mechanical Engineering Company – Engineering in Howrah
We’ve been here at 14/1 Tincouri Nath Bose Lane in Salkia for quite some time now. It’s an old part of town where the lanes are narrow and the buildings are packed together, but it is exactly where we do all our daily work. Mostly we handle mechanical jobs that come our way from local shops and some bigger outfits from across the river too. The shop is usually a bit greasy and quite loud because the machines are always running or being taken apart right there on the concrete floor. We don't have a fancy front office or a secretary to greet people. Folks just stop by when they have a metal part that needs fixing or something built from scratch. Sometimes it takes a while to get through the truck traffic around here, but we are always at the bench from early morning. My father started things off years ago with just one lathe, and now a few of us keep the whole thing going. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the metal holds up under pressure. It’s hard work, especially in the humid summer heat, but it’s what we know. There’s always a pile of scrap in the corner and tools spread out everywhere. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most folks find us because they heard from a neighbor that we can weld or mill something properly. It’s just a regular mechanical shop trying to get the jobs done right so they don't come back broken. We spend a lot of time on the lathe or using the heavy drills. That’s pretty much us, just working away in Salkia every day.
