Maaelkmm Farmer Producer Company Limited

Out here in Bingama, we started Maaelkmm Farmer Producer Company Limited because we wanted to see our local growers get a fair shake. We operate out of the Mohanpur block, specifically in this small village where everyone knows everyone. Life moves at its own pace in the Jalalpur post area, and that is just how we like it. Most of us are farmers ourselves, so we spend more time in the dirt than sitting at a desk. The office isn't much to look at, just a place to keep the papers dry and meet up when the sun goes down. We handle things for the community here, trying to sort out the logistics of what we grow. It is mostly about getting people together so we don't have to deal with the big markets alone. Sometimes the rain messes up the schedule, and other times the roads are too muddy to move anything, but we keep at it. You will usually find someone hanging around the village site if you need to talk. We are not some big corporation from the city. We are just a group of neighbors in Bingama trying to make the harvest count for something. It is simple work, really. We talk about seeds, we talk about the weather, and we try to help each farmer in the block get their stuff sorted out. It takes a lot of patience, but it is worth it when we see things moving.
