Little Millennium

You can find us at 101, G T Road, over in the Shibpur area of Howrah. Being on such a major road means there is always noise and movement outside, but once you step inside our gates, it’s a bit different. Little Millennium is where we spend our days looking after the younger kids. It’s a small place, not one of those massive campuses where you get lost. We have a few rooms painted in bright colors because that’s what kids like, though some of the paint could probably use a touch-up soon. The floor is often covered in toys or bits of paper by noon. We don’t have a big corporate team running things; it’s just a few of us making sure the children are safe and learning their ABCs. The traffic in Howrah can be a nightmare, so we’re always watching the clock for when parents arrive. We don’t use fancy words to describe what we do. We just play games, teach some basic stuff, and make sure everyone gets a nap. It’s messy and loud sometimes, but that is part of the job. Most of the families around Shibpur know where we are. We’ve been at this address for a while, and we’ve become a bit of a landmark on this stretch of G T Road. It's just a simple, local school for the little ones.
