Annapurna Rice Shop

Annapurna Rice Shop is based in the Station Market. We are in the Post- Fort Gloster area, under the Bauria police station jurisdiction. Being in the market near the station means there is always something going on. People are constantly rushing to catch trains or heading home from work. We mainly sell different varieties of rice. The shop is quite old and has been in our family for a generation or two. It’s not a big place, and the bags of rice are stacked so high they almost touch the ceiling. It can be a bit dark inside, but we know exactly where each type of rice is kept. We don't use any modern machinery here. We weigh everything out on an old scale and pack it into bags by hand. The market can be very dusty and loud, but it’s a good place to be. We have a lot of regular customers who come from all over Bauria because they trust the rice we sell. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures. If people want to know what we have, they just come in and ask. Sometimes we run out of certain types of rice because of transport issues, but we usually have plenty of stock. It’s a simple, honest business and we enjoy being part of the daily life at the Station Market. We just keep things simple.
