Amita Engineering Works

Amita Engineering Works is based out of Dharsa Panchanantala, right in the G.I.P Colony in Santragachi. It’s a local neighborhood, so everyone kind of knows where we are. We’ve got a workshop that’s been here for quite some time. It isn't a modern facility with glass walls. It’s a brick and metal building where the real work happens. You can hear the sounds of metal being worked on from the street. We take pride in just getting things done without making a big fuss about it. The team is small, mostly guys from around the area who’ve been doing this for years. We don't use much in the way of high-tech gadgets unless it's necessary for a specific job. Most of our tools are old but well-maintained. Santragachi is a busy place, and being near the G.I.P Colony means we see a lot of the same faces every day. We don't have a website that looks like a tech company. We just have this shop and our reputation around the colony. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait a bit, but we always finish the work we started. It’s a bit messy, with metal scraps and oil around, but that’s an engineering shop for you. We don't put on an act for anyone. If you come to see us, you get us as we are, working hard at our benches.
