Shantiniketan School

Our school is right in the heart of Sadar Bazar in Hoshangabad, postcode 461001. If you know the bazaar, you know how busy it can get with all the shops and the people moving around constantly. We are part of that daily bustle. The school building is tucked in among the other structures of the market area, so it’s a very urban setting. We don’t have vast rolling fields, but we make the most of the space we have. The classrooms are filled with students from the local neighborhood who walk or take short rides to get here. Because we are in Sadar Bazar, there is always some noise from the street, but we’ve all gotten used to it over the years. The teachers come in early to get their rooms ready, and the principal is usually in the office by eight to handle the morning rush. We have a small area where students can gather during their breaks, but it is quite compact. The walls have been painted a few times, and we try to keep things looking decent despite the age of the building. It is a very down-to-earth place where the focus is just on the basic daily tasks of running a school in a crowded city center. We know most of the shopkeepers nearby and they know us. It gets a bit hectic when the market is in full swing, but we make it work somehow.
