Shanti Steel & Iron Store

Our store is right on Huda Road, across from Ajay Vatika. We are on that street where the PNB is, in the Rori Bazar area. It's Shanti Steel & Iron Store. It’s a busy neighborhood and finding parking can be a real pain sometimes. We’ve got a lot of iron rods and steel sheets crammed into our space. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you don't know where you're going. I’ve been working here since I was a teenager. The floor is always a bit messy with metal shavings and bits of wire, but we try to sweep it once a day. We don't have a big sign with lights. Just the name painted on the front. We get a lot of local guys who come in for their daily supplies. We talk about the news or the weather while we weigh the iron. It’s a very local vibe here. We don't use any high-tech equipment, just an old scale and our hands. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the back door, but we've put some tin over it. It’s just a regular shop where we try to be helpful to whoever comes in. We don't have a website or a brochure, just us behind the counter. If you need something, you just come in and ask for Shanti or me, and we will see what's in the back for you.
