Jindal Saw Ltd

Up here in Chamar Khera, near Hisar, life at Jindal Saw Ltd moves at its own pace. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here to the village post office area, but that is where we are set up. The landscape around Haryana is flat and goes on forever, which makes the factory stand out quite a bit. A lot of us who work here come from the nearby towns. We spend the morning getting things sorted and the afternoon trying to stay out of the peak sun. It’s a practical kind of place. You won't find anything too polished about our setup. We have our desks, our equipment, and the sound of the machines in the background. It gets noisy sometimes, but after a few months, you barely notice it anymore. We deal with the pipes and the manufacturing stuff every single day. There’s always a bit of grease or red dust on everything, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't big on fancy titles or long meetings. Usually, if something needs fixing, we just grab the tools and go. It’s been this way for as long as I can remember. The tea stall nearby is where most of the actual talking happens anyway. We are just a local bunch of people keeping the gears turning in this part of Hisar.
