Ashok Traders

Ashok Traders is located at 5-24-13 on Railway Station Road in Mukkidipeta. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of movement and noise. You can hear the trains passing by and the whistles blowing all day long, which is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. We are primarily into trading, so our space is often filled with heavy sacks and wooden boxes of different commodities. It’s got a real warehouse feel inside, with things stacked up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who drop by the shop to check on the latest prices and what we have in stock. It’s not a very quiet or clean job, but we like it. We’ve been at this location for a good number of years now. The building is functional; we don't worry too much about the paint on the walls or the decor. We just need a solid roof over the goods and a place to sit. Sometimes we have to move everything around just to make room for a new arrival, and that can be a bit chaotic for a few hours. We work with a lot of local farmers and small shopkeepers. Our business is built on these everyday relationships. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a corporate image or fancy branding. We just do the buying and selling. It’s a straightforward business.
