We are based out of the area near Mansha Mandir in Chaljamo. It’s a quiet spot, and most of us here at Bishnugarh Farmer Producer Company Limited spend our days thinking about the crops and the weather. R K Sharma’s place is where we usually meet up to discuss what needs doing next. It isn’t some big office with glass windows. It is just a regular spot where people who know the land come together. We started this because doing things alone was getting harder every year. When you have a group, you can talk about the price of seeds or how to get the harvest to the right place without getting cheated. We don’t have some fancy mission written on the wall. It’s more about making sure the families around Bishnugarh can keep going. Some days are good and some are tough when the rain doesn't show up. We just try to help each other out with the practical stuff. Most of the folks here have been farming since they were kids. We know the soil around Chaljamo pretty well. If you come looking for us, just ask for the house near the mandir. Someone will show you the way. We are just local people trying to make a living from the ground, nothing more than that. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We don't use big words or make big promises, we just work.
