Vikrant Travels

Vikrant Travels is situated on Jodhamal Road, right opposite the Bholagiri Dharamshala. It’s a decent spot, not too far from the main action but enough out of the way that we can actually hear ourselves think most of the time. Our office is a bit narrow, and we’ve got shelves filled with old logbooks and spare keys. I started this place with just one car and a lot of hope, and now we’ve been here long enough that everyone on the street knows us. The Bholagiri Dharamshala across the way brings in a lot of people, so we are usually kept busy with walk-ins. We don't have a receptionist or anything; it’s just me and maybe one of the drivers sitting around between trips. We spend a lot of time cleaning the office and checking the vehicles. The floor is tiled, and it stays cool even when the sun is beating down on the road outside. We use an old desk that my father gave me. It’s solid wood and very heavy. We don't do any big promotions or advertising. We just try to be here when someone needs a ride or a ticket. It’s a modest living, but it keeps us busy and we like the people we meet. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks in. We keep some water for visitors and just keep the doors open all day long.
