Travel Shastri

We’re set up inside the Hotel Jimmy Building, specifically at 43 Gandhi Ashram. Travel Shastri is the name on the door. It’s a convenient spot because people are always coming and going from the hotel anyway. Being near Gandhi Ashram gives the area a bit of history, which is nice for us. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at maps and travel schedules. It’s not a large office, just enough space for us to sit and talk to anyone who drops in. We don’t have a lot of flashy posters or big displays. Mostly, it’s just us and our computers. We’ve been in this building for a bit now and have gotten used to the noise of the street outside. Sometimes it’s quiet, other times it’s a bit of a madhouse with all the traffic. We just try to help folks figure out where they’re going and how to get there. We aren’t trying to be the biggest agency out there; we just like what we do and try to do it well. It’s a local business and we treat it that way. If you’re around the Ashram area, you’ll probably see our sign on the side of the building. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized among all the different travel plans we handle every day. It's a busy life but we enjoy the rhythm of the neighborhood and meeting new people.
