We are located right on Railway Road, inside Hotel Kailash in Niranjanpur. Being near the station means it is always noisy and there is always someone looking for a ride. We have been here for a while. Mostly we just arrange taxis and buses for people coming off the trains. Haridwar is always crowded, especially near the railway station area. It gets very dusty in the afternoons. Our desk is small, just enough space for a couple of chairs and the ledger. People come in asking about prices to go to the mountains or just across town. We try to keep track of everything, but sometimes it gets hectic when three trains arrive at once. The hotel staff knows us well. We usually have a few drivers waiting outside in the lane. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. Just a local travel spot for travelers who need to get from point A to point B without much fuss. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking where the cars are. The traffic on Railway Road can be quite bad during the peak season. You just have to be patient. We started this because we knew the area and saw so many people looking for help with their luggage and travel plans. Now it's just what we do every day from morning until late evening. It’s hard work but it keeps us busy.
