You can find us in Kankhal, which is a part of Haridwar that feels very old and spiritual. Our place is under the Aura Group and we are situated right near the Dakhsh Temple. Because of the temple, there are always pilgrims and visitors walking past our doors. You can hear the bells ringing and the chanting sometimes if the wind is right. We serve food that is meant for people who are here for the holy sites. It is simple, clean, and honest cooking. I’ve lived in Haridwar most of my life, and working here in Kankhal is special because of the history of the place. We don’t use any of those big words to describe what we do. We just wake up, clean the space, and start cooking the bhog for the day. The zip code here is 249408 and the streets can get very narrow and crowded, especially during the festivals. Sometimes it takes forever just to get supplies delivered because of the crowds. But we manage. The people who come in are often tired from their travels, so we try to give them a quiet place to eat.
