Konark Travel Care

If you are around Shiv Chowk on Railway Road, you’ve probably walked past where we are at Konark Travel Care. We are located near the Kali Kamli Dharamshala, which is a big landmark that everyone knows in Haridwar 249401. It is a very busy junction, so there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking right outside the window. Our office is a modest space where we keep our files and wait for the day’s work to begin. It’s quite old-fashioned inside, with heavy wooden cabinets and some benches for people to sit on while they wait. Being near the dharamshala means we see a lot of families coming and going with their luggage. We spend most of our time coordinating with the drivers and checking the timings for the various routes. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. It’s not a corporate environment by any means; it’s just a local shop where we try to get things done. We know most of the other shopkeepers around Shiv Chowk, so there is always someone to talk to if things are slow. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep the paperwork in order. It’s a busy life but we are used to the pace of Railway Road by now. We just take it one day at a time.
