Gnagotri Travels

Gnagotri Travels is located on Railway Road in Haridwar. It is a good spot because we are right where the action is. Most people who come to Uttarakhand end up on this road at some point. We have been running things here for a while, mostly focusing on getting people to where they need to be. It is not a very complicated business. We have some cars and we have some drivers who know the hills well. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning and glass walls. It is just a regular shop where we keep our registers and take phone calls. Maybe the spelling of our name is a bit unusual, but we don't mind. We just focus on the cars and the routes. Railway Road can be very loud with all the rickshaws and tourists, but we like being in the middle of it. We spend our mornings checking the oil and making sure the drivers have their papers in order. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the trip goes okay and the customer gets home safe. It is a lot of work, especially when the rains come, but we are used to it by now. We just take it one day at a time and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. It's mostly about showing up and doing what needs to get done for the day. Often we have a small crowd out front talking about the next destination.
